Squasher contains Fluroxypyr meptyl, MCPA isooctyl, and florasulam are used together in wheat as a broad-spectrum post-emergent herbicide to control a wide range of broadleaf weeds. They are applied after the crop and weeds have emerged and are effective against weeds that are resistant to other herbicides. This combination is used to control common weeds such as cleavers, chickweed, polygonum weeds,capsella, descurainia Sophia (fixweed) and other difficult-to-kill weeds in wheat fields.

Mode of Action:

Fluroxypyr-meptyl and MCPA isooctyl are both synthetic auxins that mimic plant hormones, causing uncontrolled growth and eventually plant death, while florasulam inhibits the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS), which stops the production of essential amino acids and halts cell growth. This combination provides broad-spectrum control of weeds by using different mechanisms to attack susceptible plants.

Application Guidelines:

This is a combination herbicide used for post-emergence control of broadleaf weeds in wheat, particularly targeting weeds that have become resistant to other herbicides. It is applied by spraying on the stems and leaves of wheat and weeds, typically during the winter wheat jointing stage and when weeds are in the 3-5 leaf stage.
